​An after-school program 

About: The Greater Purpose Project's Leaders With Heart is an eight-week after school program. LWH  empowers young people to discover their purpose and value through a youth-led service project benefiting the Tucson community.
Our participants experience the life-changing benefits of service learning and can expect to experience the following: 

COMING SOON! 

  • ​These meaningful service-learning opportunities can increase participants' social/emotional well-being while reducing anxiety and depression. #GPP equips participants with the tools, training and mentoring necessary to achieve youth-led service projects that support meaningful causes.  
  • Our program fosters self-esteem and confidence building by helping participants identify and celebrate their unique traits, talents and abilities.
  • Each week our participants will grow as leaders while learning job readiness skills that may not be limited to: community building, project management, goal setting, marketing/public relations, finance/budgeting and team-building.
  • Getting behind a meaningful cause can lessen certain mental health risks while also reducing loneliness and isolation.
  • Lowers levels of problem and delinquent behavior.
  • Increased  social skills.
  • Creates better cooperation skills in the classroom.
  • Promotes goal setting behavior.
  • Increases self-esteem.
  • Connects individuals to a greater purpose.​
  • Additionally, our participants will grow in empathy while learning about individuals in underserved populations that are in need of our support and friendship.​

​Who: Youth Ages 12 - 18 
Location: Groundworks - 2919 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, AZ 85716

​Our last session will be a celebratory gathering to honor our participants' achievements.
 Time: 4PM - 5:30PM
Days: Tuesdays 
Fee: $285 for eight sessions
  • All program participants will receive a binder, plaque, swag and prizes.
Payment Options: 
We are an ESA accredited program. Parents/Guardians may pay using their Class Wallet Account or can pay with a credit card.
